Child and Family Services at M.P.A. Group offers a continuum of care options including individual and/or family outpatient therapy and group therapy for children and adolescents between the ages of 3-17 years old. All of our staff is fully licensed with the State of Michigan. This program is therapeutically effective in helping consumers achieve and maintain normalized psychological functioning and maximize self-control. The Program assists children and families in dramatically reducing the need for psychiatric hospitalization, criminal activity, and reliance on maladaptive behaviors. In addition, outpatient therapy is designed to help children and families gain a more satisfactory level of positive behaviors, parenting skills, problem-solving skills, academic success, and the ability to cope with stress. The goal is for the child to function more appropriately in interpersonal and social relationships. We value normalized functioning, which results in being a productive, contributing and valued member of our family/society. It is the Child and Family Program belief that everyone is capable of leading a productive lifestyle. We place emphasis on behavioral changes that promote self-worth, self-sufficiency, and self-dignity.
